About Hypnotherapy

 

 Many years ago, I used a hypnotherapy recording to stop smoking. I was instructed to listen to the recording every day for 30 days and then I would just stop. Sure enough, after 30 days, I just stopped! When people asked me how I had stopped, I always replied with "I just stopped and that's that!" After a few weeks of repeating this statement, I consciously listened to the recording and this phrase popped up all the way through it "On such and such a date you will just stop and that's that!"

Now, I am not saying you need hypnotherapy to change your outlook or thoughts, but sometimes it does help!

A major factor is your belief system. I obviously believed the recording would work (or I wouldn't have bought it!), and every day my beliefs were reinforced just by listening to the recording!

This is the power of the mind.

This is the power of thought.

This is the power of affirmations.

 Hypnosis is completely safe and is not the sign of a weak mind. Quite the opposite in fact - the more intelligent and imaginative the person is, the better the results. Hypnosis is a state of relaxation - the state where you are neither awake nor asleep. That lovely, dreamy, comfortable cosy stage just before you fall asleep at night, or the lovely cosy feeling just as you are waking in the morning.

A lot of people worry about what will happen if they "don't come out of the trance". Well, to start with, you are not in a trance. You are just in a lovely stage of relaxation, and if you go deeper, you will only fall asleep and will awaken when you are good and ready to!

Our hypnotherapy programmes consist of conventional hypnosis and brainwave entrainment hypnosis.

The conventional hypnosis consists of an induction and deepener. These are used to relax your muscles and your mind,and then, when you are at the optimum stage of relaxation, we give you the therapy. You will then be gradually brought back up to full consciousness.

In brainwave entrainment, we use frequencies to take you to the optimum level of relaxation, keep you there for the therapy, and bring you back to full consciousness. This is done with the use of beats or pulses that use the frequencies of the brain. The programme starts with the frequency for Beta - the waking state, then gradually goes to Alpha - the day dreaming state, then Theta, the optimum state for hypnotherapy, then back up through the frequencies till you are fully awake again. When the brain hears these beats or pulses, it synchronises with them to induce the states. Anyway, it means you don't have to listen to my voice! I use Isochronic brainwaves as these do not need stereo headphones and can be used without headphones at all. The beats are just audible behind some soothing piano music. After a few minutes of this, the suggestions come in, you will barely hear these suggestions, but your subconscious takes them in effortlessly. These continue to be repeated until a few minutes before the end, when you are brought back up through the frequencies to be fully awake.

To get the best from any hypnotherapy programme it is advisable to listen to it for at least 30 days. This is the length of time it takes for your subconscious to believe that you really want to change something and get your conscious mind to implement it.

Past Life Regression can also help to break habits. When you realise that you may have brought the habit into this lifetime with you, you will find it a lot easier to break it.

Future Life Progression will take you to your future.   A lot of people do not agree with this concept, although, these people will use NLP and hypnotherapy  visualisation techniques in the same way.   The Law of Attraction says that you should believe you already have something in order to manifest it in your life.   Is this using Future Life Progression - visualising your future self as wealthy, slim, smoke free etc?   I think so.
